Life is moving at a much slower pace at the moment, yet somehow I’m busier than I normally am. Covid-19 is turning everything upside down. Thankfully all my loved ones are healthy so everything else is just a juggling game at the moment.

Art practice has had a teensy little window… but I’ve managed to finish a drawing I started ages ago.

This virus is making me think of how I might be able to cheer someone’s day up with a drawing. (I understand it’s a very small contribution compared to that of all the essential workers, there’s no comparison!) I’m not sure if that might mean doing portraits for people who are missing their loved ones or maybe creating happy pictures for little ones. There’s a lot of gloom and fear so maybe it’d be a better use of Art time to make drawings that put a smile on someone’s face? Maybe it’s time to revisit faeries…

Anyhoo, here’s the Raven drawing…

and in earlier moments…

Hello! I am an artist who is very keen on ink pens and collaging with old text paper, sometimes colour might creep in but usually I stick with monochrome. Learning about everything by trial and error but loving the process.
