Here’s a quick silverpoint portrait of one of my cats, May.
I tend to refer to her as my desk goblin because she will never let me sit alone at my desk. Which is fine by me.
She has a few locations. First she has her basket, which is pretty comfy, padded with cushions. Then she has her secret cave behind my drawing board, which is great unless she’s trying to swipe my hand if I dare to get a pencil or book. (Not with claws out so I guess I’m only being warned?) and third position is right in my face. That’s not the best place but it needs to be done if I’ve gone too long without touching or talking to her.
Here is the drawing, and the sitter.

Please ignore the barking Jack Russell sounds in the background… someone dared to deliver a parcel 🙄
This is my second silverpoint drawing. I was craving a bit of hatching and sketching. After stippling for so long, it can feel like a holiday to crosshatch. Especially if the medium is erasable (even partially) as ink is definite.
I’m not sure May liked the portrait but I’m happy I have such a patient desk goblin.
