This drawing reminds me that over time, we can choose to look back on the past with gratitude regardless of its faults. What went wrong in the past is just a pathway to new understanding and growth.
The plants in this still life were from my old garden, I didn’t fully appreciate them while I had them, but looking back I am so happy for the time I had there. It was a solace when things weren’t going smoothly, sitting amongst these trees and plants gave me many moments of easier breathing and pulse slowing. Gardens do that well, don’t they?
