Portrait of Young Woman

This was drawn on Procreate, using stippling technique which my old ipad struggled with towards the end. It took a lot of patience to get it done, and that’s not because of all the dots but because of all the ipad crashes! Ha!

It was drawn as a gift for a loved one who is celebrating a special birthday. I wanted to capture that moment that sits right between childhood and womanhood, a snapshot of what I see. I wanted it to have a fangirl nod to the PRB with her pose and the honesty of the moment with semi-wet hair. The Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood are always a huge inspiration for me when I do portraits, even if it’s a simple drawing.
