A drawing for the fun of it.
I don’t want it to be a spoiler for anyone reading Crown of Bones (by A. K. Wilder) but this is a drawing connected to the book. Maybe don’t read on if you don’t want a full spoiler!
I felt quite emotional by the end of this story. Cliffhangers always get me. I’m pretty impatient by nature and this book ends on a corker.
Having the privilege of being the chapter head illustrator was fantastic but before I was in that position I was just happily a fan of the Author.
So we’ll call this drawing fan art, for sure.
This particular moment in the book was powerful. I had to draw it. Ash is an easy character to love and to feel sympathy for. By the end it was such a relief but because it is unknown what’s coming next for Ash and Natsari it was also frustrating! I think the frustration of the situation probably prompted the need to draw Natsari for the first time.
I can’t wait for the next book so I can find out where their relationship goes. I know what I’d like to happen, but the Author is a notorious curve ball thrower with plots 😂 so I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
