Salila Character Study

Here is the fourth character I’ve now drawn from AK Wilder’s Amassia Series.

First sketch was a little different, she evolved from a forward leaning pose…

…to a more leaning back one.

I felt like she would be confident enough to be more exposed. She wanted a direct gaze, she’s not afraid to pull the viewer in. I felt like she enjoys a challenge and expresses herself as and where she pleases.

Once the drawing was finished, I realised I needed to see if I could create a more fluid drawing of Salila, so I started a new one. This one took form quite quickly.

Here it is…

So just when I thought she was finished… I felt she needed a bit more ocean movement, so here we are… definitely finished!

Hello! I am an artist who is very keen on ink pens and collaging with old text paper, sometimes colour might creep in but usually I stick with monochrome. Learning about everything by trial and error, slightly anxious but big capacity to laugh.
